Sharif Tasnim Mahmud

Who is currently employed as a Lecturer at the University of South Asia. In addition to working as a research assistant at Idream, I am currently working on a project titled "Functionalizing Knit-Cotton with Silver Ink Using Roll-Roll Screen Printing Process for Large Area Epidermal Electrodes of Dr. Milon Hossain." Following the completion of my Master of Science degree, I am continuing to work with my Supervisor on our ongoing study on the application of liquid metal in smart textile. In the past, I have worked on a number of research projects pertaining to natural fibers, biomaterials, nanofibrous and antibacterial nanocomposites for use in biomedical applications, LIB, CNT, PU, PET, and PAA nanocomposites. Several of my research works have been published by the American Chemical Society (ACS), Nanomaterials, and Elsevier. In the course of my research, I gave presentations on my findings at a few different national conferences. My ultimate goal is to earn a PhD in materials science so that I might one day become an innovator in the field of environmentally friendly, energy-harvesting, and protecting materials for the earth.

Hobbies

I always had a desire to leave Sylhet, Bangladesh, where I was born because I wanted to live somewhere with more greenery and tea gardens. I also wanted to travel the world. And there was that one time when I actually found myself in a different nation; I attended an engineering school in China. It is a major issue for me as a young woman to move alone in a strange country, learn a new language, and pursue that opportunity by myself. That was a really significant point in my life, and it was also a particularly difficult time.

There I started to travel around during my stay in my free time and then moved to work in Bangladesh leading a very busy life in academia but still managing time to give a break, and do things I enjoyed the most like fishing, trying different cuisines, reading books, and adding new plants in the garden to light up my living.
